The Big Read BookBench Trail takes place from 16 July to 13 September with a free trail around Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Schools and Community groups were invited to decorate benches (in the shape of open books) with their favourite books, poems, comics, prose and other literature.

A free map of the trail can be downloaded and printed from their website, or picked up from one of several venues along the trail including bookshops.

Here are just a few of the benches we found exploring the West Midlands.
