Stourhead’s Old Granary (found just before the Palladian House) is now home to a National Trust Bookshop, selling second-hand books all proceeds going on to maintain the 18th Century Estate.

A great situation for a bookstore which can be visited just for a browse or as part of a day out visiting Stourhead’s estate. With a low ceiling, long wooden beams and an old fashioned money collection box for donations the bookshop is in keeping with the rest of the National Trust site.

At £1 for most paperbacks and £2 for most hardbacks this lovely little bookshop is the perfect place to search for book bargains and donate to a good cause all at the same time.
