This week’s Fallout 5 are chosen by author Matt Johnson, who used writing to get him through PTSD. His series Wicked Games (Amazon UK/ Amazon US) was first published as an e-book format, but it has since been picked up by Orenda Books and will be launched on 22nd March 2016.

Matt Johnson’s Fallout 5:

Based on the premise that I have never read anything twice, I would have to take books that I have always wanted to read but not had the time. Each choice for the same reason. Each is a classic from times in my life. I read very few novels and these are a selection of the ones I regret not finding the time to read.

1. War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells (Amazon UK/ Amazon US)

2. 1984 by George Orwell (Amazon UK/ Amazon US)

3. Dune by Frank Herbert (Amazon UK/ Amazon US)

4. Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams (Amazon UK/ Amazon US)

5. War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy (Amazon UK/ Amazon US)

You Suddenly have to run from the bunker, you can only save one book, which do you rescue?

If I had to chose just one, I think it would be Hitchhikers, as it might be the only thing that could make me laugh in the circumstances you describe.
