This week’s Fallout 5 are chosen by T.M. (Tina) Payne, author of the crime, thriller/mystery novel; To Catch a Butterfly (Amazon UK/ Amazon US)

T. M. Payne’s Fallout 5:

1. The Crossing Places by Elly Griffiths: Read this recently and was engrossed in the authors ability to put the reader into the heart of the story. I was also lucky enough to meet Elly in March when we were both speakers at a Bookfest.. (Amazon UK/ Amazon US)

crossing places

2. Savages by Shirley Conran: Mostly for its fantastic description of the relationships between the female characters. (Amazon UK/ Amazon US)

3. The listeners and other poems by Walter De la Mare: The listeners is, in my humble opinion one of the best poems ever written. Extraordinarily atmospheric. (Amazon UK/ Amazon US)

the listeners

4. Lord of the flies by William Golding: I Read this at school and I have never forgotten it. (Amazon UK/ Amazon US)

lord of the flies

5. The knowledge: how to rebuild our world after an apocalypse by Lewis Dartnell: I think this is a fairly self explanatory choice, i’ve never read it but I think it would come in handy!! (Amazon UK/ Amazon US)

the knowledge

You Suddenly have to run from the bunker, you can only save one book, which do you rescue?

I would save The Walter De la Mare poems. Reading these would take me somewhere else.
