To mark the 80th anniversary of Penguin Books, they have released a series of 80 ‘little black classics’. Short reads, by authors such as; Emily Bronté, Walt Whitman, John Keats and D. H. Lawrence. Some are however by anonymous writers.
Each book costs 80p (see what they did there), however some book shops (including my local, independent shop) are offering deals such as 2 for £1.50.
I have already bought 4, but will of course want to buy more of them. I think they’re a great way to celebrate the anniversary, and a nice way to try reading something by an author you want to try.
