Scott’s story is the inspiring tale of a young boy from Eastleigh who struggles with socialising and has frequent panic attacks which mean, at points in his life he is scared to even leave the house.
He suffers through some very dark times and even goes through times where he has a slight drinking problem. Despite this, he eventually sees his problem and pulls through.
Scott also tells the story of how he got his dream job as a Radio DJ. As well as reminiscing on some of his best and funniest moments in life a lot of which have often included his radio team; Chappers, Beccy Huxtable and Chris Stark.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Scott Mills’ radio show.It is an inspiring story of how he overcame anxiety and depression. I also found his determination from a young age to gain his dream job makes him a great role model for those who want to follow in his footsteps (or even those who are wavering in an attempt to reach their goals).
The only downside to this books is how short is as I managed to read it very quickly. However, it’s short length does mean the book makes a light read for holidays or for anyone with little time on their hands. It makes the perfect book to read during your break at work because of how easy it is to put down and pick back up again.
